Welcome to Horizon Homeschool

My name is Megan and I am a Homeschool Facilitator offering to teach a Texas Homeschool Curriculum to your child. A little bit about me....  I got my Bachelors at The University of Texas and had a career as a Nutrition Coach before I decided I wanted to be a teacher. Teaching has always been my passion and has always been a part of me. In 2018 I started teaching 2nd grade at TCISD. I briefly taught 3rd grade before I made the decision to leave and stay home in 2022 with my 3 children who were 4, 1, and 8 months old at the time. Now that they are older, I wanted to get back into teaching, but still wanted to be able to stay home and homeschool them. After teaching my oldest this past year for Kindergarten, I knew it was something I wanted to do for all of my kids. 

With the encouragement and support of my family and friends, I decided to bring my vision to life with Horizon Homeschool. My goal is to provide a smaller, more intimate school setting for children who need or want more one-on-one teacher interaction.
